My condolences to the families of Ms. Lo Hwei Yen;

Growing up in Singapore, we never know the actual dangers which are lurking outside our safe haven and even after 911 and all the Bali Bombings, we always tell ourselves,

"It's impossible for this to happen to Singapore," or

"Why worry?"

This lady was a promising lawyer, practising in Singapore and she was was in Mumbai for a 1 day conference, and yet, it was most unfortunate that she was taken hostage in her own hotel.

Ms. Lo isn't the first hostage to be taken by terrorists; nor was she the first one killed.

But, she was the first, Singaporean to die such a cruel death, and my hearts just go out for her; in her last hours and to her husband of 1 year, and her family...

I've always believed that violence, and of COURSE; terrorism, never solve anything.. And it is indeed sobering to note that, more attacks, more hostages, would be taken in the future...

Let's just, take a moment, to reflect on our lives, and ask ourselves,

If I were the one in Ms. Lo's shoes, would I have already impacted someone's life? Would I have regretted, not doing SOMETHING! Be it, telling a loved one, how much you love them, telling someone, you've forgiven them...

If the answer is a meek, "yes", let's sit up, and do something about it...

Before it is too late.

We always pride ourselves on the fact that; we're YOUNG, we're only 18! 19! 20!, TIME IS ON OUR SIDE!

Truth is, time is never on our side; we ARE the ones who have to run and keep up with it...

Stayed back in school with Ley today, on a FRIDAY of ALL days and we did TLaw togther(: Contrary to what everyone believe, we were VER Y productive:D:D

Some of us in class have intents, on leaving SG for China? (TAIPEI Too!) For 6months.

Half a year; 6months.
Whichever way you say it; it's still a long period away from home.

I never knew what it was like, to be in the position of some of my "foreign" friends; to leave home, and study; work. Carve out new memories.

At least, we'll get to come home, After less than a year;

After weird food, weather, people;

Some of my friends are already overseas, and indeed, it feels weird, talking to them after a little while, be it on Facebook or MSN. Something, seem to be missing...





Rachel (YEE), is going away to Boarding School in America for her Junior and Senior years, and she's going to scout around in the States for close to a month this coming Dec.

In cell, we feel the loss already.

She's going away next September, and yet; we're afraid. Of what the seperation means.

True, there may be Skype, MSN, Facebook, blogs, whatever new technology you find, but nothing beats a touch, a hug, hearing laughters, so joyous, so LOUD, they ring in your ears.

One, may be independent; but we ALL need our friends.






As cliche as it may sound, to help us, to lend us a shoulder when we are down, when we cry... Someone to be there, to share our laughters in the theatre, a joke...

True, we may make new friends, have new experiences... But we're human afterall. We are ALL reluctant to make changes in our lives isn't it?

OMG; Did you guys hear about the Malaysian who got attacked by 3 tigers in Singapore Zoo?

Apparently; he jumped into the enclosure on purpose; aka; he committed suicide.




And he chose to die; by feeding himself to 3; very hungry tigers; TOTOALLY devoid of fresh blood in their diet.

LIKE?! OMGG. What could be so harsh on him; that he would CONSIDER DOING that?!

That's just; the 1st in Singapore; and, very brave. and YET. Dumb of him))):

I just saw the news and apparently; the undertakers were able to bag him up; what's left of him anyway. In those black trash bags;

I love tigers; And now; I've got a mixed feeling about these manificent beasts and the way this man; tainted them. But getting them involved in his death.

Stayed behind in school yesterday with Ley cos we both have many things to do and she became unwell because she ate VERY little))): Do remember to eat alright my dear! JYJYJY for the rest of your trainings!! Can't wait for Danzation!!

Pretty Cool? HAHA I know I'm insane and it was pretty dangerous; (Quite a couple of trees were uprooted!) Well; the reason I took a picture of this scene was because; rarely will you see such a grey sky in SG at this time!
